Is Qatar Airways a Good Airline?

QATAR AIRWAYS: AWARD WINNING 5-STAR AIRLINE.

Qatar Airways has been awarded a 5-Star rating for the quality of its airport and onboard products, as well as the service provided by its employees. Seats, services, food and drinks, IFE, cleanliness, and other aspects of the product are classified, while service is rated for both cabin and ground workers. Based on customer choice, expense, reliability, and size, Qatar Airways Cargo will be the world's leading air cargo provider. Is Qatar Airways a good airline? Let’s find out!

PERFORMANCE ON TIME:

Qatar Airways moved the scheduled departure time forward by 20 minutes, causing considerable confusion among passengers checking in for the 8 a.m. flight, before departing 30 minutes late. It took six hours and 35 minutes to fly.

ACCESS TO THE LOUNGE:

The four Thai Airways lounges at Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi Airport are open to business class passengers and Qatar Airways platinum, gold, and silver Privilege Club members.

STATE OF THE AIRCRAFT:

The six-month-old aircraft's new interiors are spotless, with trendy maroon and blue trimmings that fit the crew's uniforms.

AFFORDABILITY:

In terms of trade, it's as good as it gets. Molded headrests and flexible personal entertainment screens are included in the seats. It the smoothest landing and take-off I've ever seen. Things weren't so swanky at Doha Airport, where we were crammed into an old bus and had to wait 18 minutes to get to the terminal. Limousine transfers and access to the swanky Premium Lounge are available to business and first-class passengers.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

While the service is polite and multicultural, with staff from the Philippines, Thailand, Ethiopia, and Bulgaria, it isn't quite up to Qatar Airways' claims of "five stars." My neighbor waited more than 15 minutes for workers to answer after spilling his red wine, while most of them were laughing at the back of the plane.

BEVERAGES AND FOOD:

A sad-looking omelet, the option of a shriveled-up old croissant or sugary white bread, and undrinkable coffee for breakfast, followed by a soggy sandwich for lunch.

A MEDIUM OF ENTERTAINMENT:

178 films, 263 television shows, music, sports. There's even a channel dedicated to kids, with programming in eight languages and shown on a handy touch screen.

The frequency of flights Bangkok and Doha are linked twice daily.
